Iver Huitfeldt-monument
in Copenhagen

Denmark's largest naval monument is at Langelinie in Copenhagen. It was built in 1886 and designed by architect Vilhelm Dahlerup. The sculptor FE Ring designed guardian angel on top. Dahlerup was also the architect of Jesus Church, Jesuskirken, Valby in Copenhagen. Brewer Carl Jacobsen was the main sponsor of the 19 meter high monument, built to commemorate the naval officer Iver Huitfeldt.
The column is made of polished granite from Stångehuvud.
