Granite from Stångehuvud on Schulze-Delitzsch-Platz Berlin

The statue of Herman Schulze Delitzsch is the only one left in Berlin with the foundation of granite from Stångehuvud. The sculpture is made by the sculptor Hans Arnold. The base consists of granite from Stångehuvud, except
the two steps that are of granite with bluish quartz from Graversfors in Östergötland.

The bronze figure was melt down during the Second World War. In 1972 the monument was taken away, but was put back in 1990 after renovation.
The typical coarse reddish granite from Stångehuvud shines in the crossing at Schulze-Delitzsch-Platz in Luisenstadt Berlin.

The base has in its lower parts some damages that arise during the Second World War.
