In the  waterfront zone at both rock and boulder beaches around Stångehuvud various algae are silhouetted under the surface. At the top you will find several species of green algae. Brown algae are also close to the surface in the zonation of algae appearing here. Isolated red algae can be seen in the zone closest to the water surface, but most of the red algae are at greater depths.
